Gianni Paci played his first gig at CBGB’s a couple of months before they closed, and went on to tour with The Butthole Surfers in Europe while he was in high school. After recording two full length albums of his original songs with his college band and continuing to perform around the city, he met saxophonist and studio owner Richie Cannata, perhaps best known for his work with Billy Joel. Paci recorded several solo EP’s of his original music at Cannata’s studio with producer Eren Cannata (whose producing credits include Shania Twain and Katy Perry) and opened for The Lords of 52nd Street before moving to Los Angeles. In California, Paci got to work with Linda Perry before having tour dates cancelled due to the pandemic. Relocating to Nashville, he met and jammed with Sierra Ferrell, who acted as a bridge to classic country and bluegrass. A guitar gig touring with an artist on Dave Cobb’s label allowed Paci to further refine his Americana chops. Paci has written about 100 songs since settling in Tennessee, and is currently preparing to return to the studio to record his new music.
